Are you interested in getting rid of unwanted fat without surgery? BodyTite is a laser assisted liposuction procedure that not only contours the body, but also tightens the skin, which is not possible with traditional lipo. But what exactly is BodyTite, and how does it work to improve skin laxity.
What is BodyTite?
BodyTite is a body contouring procedure that uses radio frequency assisted liposuction (RFAL) to shrink fat, and sculpt the body. BodyTite is liposuction that incorporates radiofrequency energy that dissolves the fat cells, and also tightens the skin.
BodyTite is an in-office procedure that is done under light sedation. The procedure is suitable for both men and women, and can be used on all areas of the body.
How does BodyTite improve skin laxity?
The BodyTite handpiece is equipped with an internal cannula and external electrode that both emit RF energy. A tiny incision is made through which the cannula-suction is inserted under the skin. The RF energy is applied to the treatment area and quickly heats up the soft tissue. This has a two-fold effect because it dissolves the fat, and also causes the skin to contract. Optimal tightening of the overlying skin is achieved because of the precise deep heating of the soft tissue.
BodyTite is a safe and less traumatic alternative to traditional liposuction. There is also less post-procedural swelling and bruising, so recovery is faster.
For best results, BodyTite should be performed by a board certified plastic surgeon with the requisite training using the device.
